Lighting the path to empowerment.

Welcome to Sunlight Developmental Evaluations, your ally in lighting the path to empowerment for your child.  At Sunlight, we shine a positive light on your child, give you the clarity you are searching for, and equip you with the knowledge and skills needed to implement next steps. From toddlers to teens, Sunlight is here to support you every step of the way. Pursuing an evaluation can be intimidating as the focus is often on challenges or what is “wrong”. Trust that Sunlight excels in shining a light on your child’s strengths while establishing a growth mindset around any existing challenges.

Not all evaluation services consider input from the school setting. Children behave differently by context. In order to get the most accurate picture of your child for any potential diagnoses, it is crucial to get multiple perspectives from a variety of settings. Sunlight takes the whole picture into consideration by including feedback from your child’s school, not just the home, and any other setting that may be relevant, as well as a school observation. Sunlight is exceptionally thorough and attentive throughout the evaluation process. Our child-centered approach ensures assessments are comprehensive and highly individualized to give you the answers and guidance needed to set your child up for success. Both in person or virtual assessments are an option.

Sunlight is unique because our support continues after the feedback session. We continue to help you pave the pathway for your child’s future by ensuring that you have been connected to the resources you need for next steps. We have access to a large network of other professional who specialize in pediatric therapies and families. After the completion of the evaluation, we join you on your journey to find professionals who are the best fit for your child.

"Parenthood is about raising and celebrating the child you have, not the child you thought you’d have. It’s about understanding your child is exactly the person they are supposed to be."
